A Radical Ethics of Crowdfunding

Here are two related documents in which I and Ezra Berkley Nepon discuss the ethics of crowdfunding from a radical left standpoint.

The first,  A Proposed Ethics of Crowdfunding (PDF /HTML Text), is just as it sounds: a proposal for a codified ethics of crowdfunding. The second, The Revolutionary Etiquette of Crowdfunding (PDF/ HTML Text) is an article printed in the March-April 2014 issue of Grassroots Fundraising Journal, reproduced here with gracious permission. This article is a discussion about the various complexities of crowdfunding from a radical left standpoint and provides a great background for the thoughts that went into the proposed code of ethics.
